Daphne Amore is approaching the veteran stage for years of service with the Company. She came here 14 years ago, as a machinist in the rubber factory, She was transferred to the leather factory two years later, in the same capacity.

Now she is checking girl in Dept 472, and takes a keen interest in her work, which she has always likes. She has done most stitching jobs on leather footwear.

“I was asked to stand for the M.A.C., and agreed to do so,” she said. “I think it is a very useful body.”
