Former East Tilbury Bata Worker, working in Department 306, Johnnie Kempster joined the Merchant Navy as a Steward aboard S.S.Sheaf Mead. He died on Monday 27th May 1940
He was the son of Albert James and Rose Ethel Kempster of Chadwell St Mary, Essex.
