Made on this last is the slip-on gusset model illustrated here. It has a high front, double finger gore and a long, sleek chisel toe, with shallow perforations on the vamp. The whole shoe is of a modern light construction and the sole has been invisibly reinforced to compensate for the extra wear generally given to shoes by boys growing up. In addition, the shoe has leather quarter linings.
Modern by name and modern in every detail, it is the ideal dress shoe for the younger young man.
It was designed by John Morey and is being made in Dept 473, under Foreman C Kirk.
In black or brown, price 37s. 6d.
