Representing Dept 200 on the Management Advisory Committee is 27 year old machine minder Herbert Smith, of the printing department. He joined the Company in 1935 and except for a break from 1942 to 1946, when he served as a corporal armourer in an R.A.F. bomb disposal unit, has been in the same department the whole of the time.

Herbert was elected to the M.A.C. at the last general election.
