Reginald Lummis is the Management Advisory Committee member for Dept 100, having represented his department since 1944. He came to East Tilbury in September 1940, and was a stock-keeper in the chemical and rubber stores until the rubber factory closed down. Since then he has been in charge of the oil stores.

Married, with a grown up son and daughter, Lummis is a keen gardener and is secretary of the Bata Gardens and Allotment Association and has been a prizewinner in many gardening competitions.
