Celebrating his silver jubilee as a Bataman today, is Edward Bek, who is one of the small band on British Batamen who are doing such good work in the Company’s interests in West Africa.
Mr Bek is stationed at Accra, and was last at East Tilbury ins the spring of 1951, when on European leave.
During his 25 years with the Bata organisation Mr Bek has travelled widely and has done most of his service overseas.
He came to British Bata from the East African Bata organisation at Limuru, in 1948. While in East Africa he was in charge of the general trading organisation, at Nairobi.
