Completing 25 years of service with the Bata Organisation, on Tuesday next, is Mr V Fesar, of Kingston, Jamaica, controller for the Windward and Leeward Islands and Barbados.
He started his Bata career as a youngster in the leather factory. After two years he transferred to the export department.
In 1935 and the following year he worked for the retail department as a salesman, chiropodist and display arranger, before going back to the export department for a couple of years.
In 1939 he had the opportunity of a position with the organisation inthe West Indies.
