A Sergeant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Frant Seda died on Tuesday 12th August 1941, aged 26.

Formerly from Czechoslovakia he had recently been married to Joan Malthoff from Thorpe Bay, Essex, although they were planning to move to East Tilbury at the first opportunity.

Before the war Frant Seda was a pilot employed by the Bata Shoe Company at Zlin. At the time of the Munich agreement, in company with another Bata Pilot, he had flown to Gravesend with two Zlin twelves, light aircraft turned out at the Company's Zlin factory.
