Private with 5th Battalion Essex Regiment. Son of Alice Rose Weller of Tilbury.
Died in Italy on Sunday 9th Januray 1944, aged 25.
Whilst working at East Tilbury he initially employed in the Rubber Factory before transferring to the Building Department.
In a letter to the Bata Record just before he died he says that he had received his Christmas Parcel which gave him strength and fortitude to carry on with the task which lay before him.
