Son of Christopher Dennis and Emily Alice Cole of Pitsea, Basildon, Essex.
Went to France in the early days of the war and was reported missing following the evacuations of Dunkirk in 1940. It was reported in the Bata Record of 27th February 1942 that his family said that he had now been reported killed.
Died on Friday 31 May 1940 aged 23 and is commemorated on the Dunkirk Memorial at Nord in France.
Worked in the Leather Factory Department 421 before the war.
