Gunner in 147 (Essex Yeomanry) Field Regiment, Royal Artillery.Son of William F and Ada Couves of Tilbury. Died on Monday 24th July 1944, aged 24.
He joined the Bata Shoe Company in 1938 and left 2 years later to join the Army. Whilst with the Company he was employed in Department 680.
